Cupric Sulphate Anhydrous/Copper(II) Sulfate is white crystal appearance, it easily absorbs water and turns into blue-green copper sulfate pentahydrate. It is both a fertilizer and a universal fungicide. Mainly used as textile mordant, agricultural insecticide, water fungicide, preservative, also used in tanning, copper plating, mineral processing, etc. It is the primary salt of pyrophosphate copper plating. Simple composition, good stability, high current efficiency, deposition speed. But its polarization power is small and its dispersing ability is poor. The coating crystals are coarse and not bright.

Application of Cupric Sulphate Anhydrous CAS 7758-98-7

Used in the chemical industry to manufacture other copper salts such as cuprous cyanide, cuprous chloride, cuprous oxide and other products. 

In the dye industry, it is used as a copper complexing agent for the production of copper-containing monoazo dyes such as reactive brilliant blue, reactive violet, and phthalocyanine blue. It is also a catalyst for organic synthesis, perfume and dye intermediates.

In the pharmaceutical industry, it is often used directly or indirectly as an astringent and auxiliary raw material for the production of isoniazid and pyrimethamine.

In the coating industry, copper oleate is used as a poisonous agent for ship bottom antifouling paint.

In the electroplating industry, it is used as an additive for sulfate copper plating and wide-temperature full-bright acid copper plating.

Used as an antimicrobial agent and nutritional supplement in food.

Used in agriculture as pesticides and copper-containing pesticides.
