Thiazole (CAS 288-47-1), or 1,3-thiazole (1,3-thiazole), is a light yellow flammable liquid with a smell similar to pyrimidine, and the chemical formula is c3h3ns. It contains a five membered ring, with two vertices being nitrogen and sulfur atoms, and the other three being carbon atoms. Thiazole is used to prepare biocides, fungicides, drugs and dyes.
Production method
It is prepared by the reaction of chloroacetaldehyde and thioformamide.
Use
It is used as an organic synthetic reagent for the synthesis of drugs, dyes, rubber accelerators, film couplers, etc.
